Matt Black ~ March 2014

Matt Black has been photographing in California’s Central Valley for many years. He will be documenting the terrible drought conditions that threaten jobs and ways of life in the area. His portfolio evokes memories of the Farm Security Administration projects of the Great Depression. The new work looking at the valley’s rural agricultural lifestyle will be timely and important, not only to those of us in the Western United States, but to the whole country.
